Chapter 1! How exciting. The beginning of everything~ Good luck! I'll be looking forward to absolutely everything ;D Beginning, middle, and as much as I'd dislike it... the end. :3
I won't bother gushing about the details and brilliant sense of depth this page creates--other people have done that. I personally like the shocked 'oh f, this is bad' expression. The body language really helps convey the message, and the position of his right hand (left if you're looking at the page) makes me think he's reaching for a concealed weapon in that drawer. Of course, the overall feel of the page makes me think that he won't grab it in time.
Well, you got me here, now you've got to keep me coming back. That prologue was so dark and ominous, but this chapter is so far bright and lively. Clearly something is going to bring us back to the why of the prologue. I only hope that you're able to keep my, and everyone else's interest in this story as it develops. Good luck.
