A web of lies around the Amaranthine Project entangle an innocent secretary named Cristofori as he is forced into the company of two bizzare individuals who have been locked away for the safety of the nation. Dominique Corc is Cristofori's new employer, a man forced to continue his controversial work on the abominations known as 'Homunculus'. Crist doesn't realize how deep an ancient conspiracy flows until he realizes that the supposedly mythical man-made-human actually exists, living in secret captivity along with the professor, who has named the being 'Mania'. Dominique and Mania are prisoners of war like Cristofori, and they will either end up being his saviours or lead to his complete damnation.
