A web of lies around the Amaranthine Project entangle an innocent secretary named Cristofori as he is forced into the company of two bizarre individuals who have been locked away by their own nation. Professor Dominique Corc is Cristofori's new employer, a man forced to continue his controversial work on the abominations known as 'Homunculus'. Crist doesn't realize how deep an ancient conspiracy flows until he discovers that the supposedly mythical, man-made-human that Dominique researches actually exists, living in secret captivity along with the professor. The creature, or boy, is called 'Mania'. Dominique and Mania, unlikely allies and prisoners, like Cristofori, and will either become his saviors or lead to his complete damnation.
